This trip takes me to Tuscany for the Anteprima tastings put on by the various growers’ organizations behind Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino. And of course all the cinghiale I can eat!

  1. for future reference. Before you get on a plane go into a duty free store find a per fume you like, and spray the hell out of it on a scent strip or piece of paper. Keep it in a pocket or nearby. When you get on the plane and are olfactorily assaulted, pull out the strip and hold it close to your nose. Do it regularly and as often as you need to.

    It has been a life saver on those long hauls.
